Key Responsibilities
  • Identifies market opportunities for trading and distribution of chemicals and petrochemicals.
  • Continuously review the market for new business opportunities and activities and generate profitable business prepositions.
  • To prepare sales plans and secure orders for the Company’s products, solutions and services, and to achieve the annual sales and income target as assigned by the Department Manager.
  • Participates in evaluating and developing projects.
  • Provides local industry information and analysis to management.
  • Responsibility for delivering growth as new business in Chemical industry. Pro-actively meet (potential) customers in order to obtain/maintain business.
  • Improve the profitability with the customer through winning new, additional (multi product) opportunities.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of positive portfolio of trades. Manage cashflow and inventory for their portfolio properly and update the finance team weekly basis.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements on new services, pricing, service levels etc.
  • Create and maintain visibility of sales pipeline and activity / results reporting.
  • Support operational implementation and handover to operations once the business has been landed.
  • Identify opportunities for additional product development and commercial positioning with new customers.
  • Ensure contracts and agreements for specific customer solutions are validated and signed off (service agreements, credit agreements, supplier contracts, etc.) as per corporate guidelines.
  • Completion of entire trade cycle and relevant documents in ERP.
Requirements
  • Proven +3 years Chemical logistics and Sales experience in GCC and United Arab Emirates.
  • Demonstrated results – performance with top Chemical customers.
  • Experience from United Arab Emirates market is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively build sales pipeline from historical market relationship.
  • Experienced with the Chemical industry in GCC and related Complex supply chains models.
  • Solid experience of Chemical logistics sales

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities for trading and distribution of chemicals and petrochemicals. They will continuously review the market for new business opportunities and generate profitable business propositions. The candidate will prepare sales plans and secure orders for the company’s products, solutions, and services. The annual sales and income target will be assigned by the Department Manager, and the candidate will be responsible for achieving it.                                                                                                                 
  • In addition, the candidate will participate in evaluating and developing projects, provide local industry information and analysis to management, and be responsible for delivering growth as new business in the Chemical industry. They will proactively meet with potential customers to obtain/maintain business, improve profitability with customers, manage cash flow and inventory for their portfolio, negotiate and finalize agreements on new services, pricing, service levels, and create and maintain visibility of sales pipeline and activity/results reporting.

  • The ideal candidate for this role should have proven +3 years of Chemical logistics and Sales experience in GCC and the United Arab Emirates. They should have demonstrated results-performance with top Chemical customers and experience from the United Arab Emirates market. The candidate should have the ability to effectively build sales pipeline from historical market relationships, solid experience in Chemical logistics sales, proximity to technology aspects and the latest supply chain modules and trends, a strong continuous improvement mindset, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be self-motivated. They should have strong analytical skills and current knowledge of the Chemical customers.
